VW Certified is the process that used vehicles go through to earn the CPO designation. Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen models must be of a recent model year with low mileage on the odometer. CPO vehicles must also have a clean title and come with a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report so you know exactly what maintenance your vehicle has received.

Every Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen model comes with a Model-Specific Limited Warranty. This warranty period begins when the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires or on the sale date of the CPO VW, whichever occurs later. The warranties can include:
- 2-year/24,000-mile warranty on 2017 and newer vehicles
- 1-year/12,000-mile warranty on 2018 and 2019 models
- 2-year/24,000-mile warranty on 2020 and newer vehicles
